In the summers of 2016 and 2017 Castlereagh Fellowship sent a mission team to Germany to work with refugees. We were able to help Vimal and Louise Vimalasekaran (ECM) in their ministry by helping to run a sports camp for refugees. This provided wonderful opportunities to share the gospel as well as show love and compassion to those who are very needy. It was a real privilege to see God working in their lives.
In Castlereagh Fellowship we take seriously Christ’s command to ‘go and make disciples of all nations’ (Matthew 28:19). It is our privilege to support and partner with a wide range of missionaries and mission agencies who are committed to this task.
There are three key elements to our mission-support policy:
- Information – as a church we seek to keep informed of global needs and opportunities for the spreading of the gospel.
- Intercession – both individually and corporately we commit to praying in response to these needs and opportunities.
- Involvement – we actively promote and support ‘hands-on’ investment in mission situations.
Castlereagh Fellowship has specific relationships with individuals and organisations sharing the gospel in Colombia, Nigeria, Uganda, Kenya, Vietnam, Slovenia, Romania and Poland among others. We have a particular interest in supporting fellow Christians who live in poverty and under persecution.
